  • Reprint rules: Every reprint that is Old Frame, uses the original art and is not foil is allowed, except for test prints and artist proofs. Revised Serendib Efreet, Revised Plateau, Summer Magic Hurricane and Simplified Chinese Fifth Edition reprints with alternate artwork are allowed.

Rules

Contemporary rules and errata are followed, except for the following ones:

  • Mana burn is in effect.
  • Players lose the game when they have zero or less life only at the end of each phase. This state based action is the last thing happening before going to the next phase.
This rule allows playing “Mirror Universe” in its original spirit, so you can go down to zero during your upkeep, trade life totals, then your opponent dies at the end of the phase for being at zero.
  • The original Alpha ‘tapped blocker’ rule still exists
If a creature designated as a blocker in a combat phase becomes tapped, it will not do damage to the attacking creature.
For exemple, a blocking Mishra’s Factory will become 0/3 if tapped for activating his +1/+1 hability.
  • Chaos Orb: 1, Tap: Choose a non-token permanent on the battlefield. If Chaos Orb is on the battlefield, flip Chaos Orb onto the battlefield from a height of at least one foot (30cm). If Chaos Orb turns over completely at least 360 degrees during the flip, and lands resting on the chosen permanent, destroy that permanent. Then destroy Chaos Orb.
  • Falling Star: Choose any number of non-overlapping creatures on the battlefield. Flip Falling Star onto the battlefield from a height of at least one foot (30cm). If Falling Star turns over completely at least 360 degrees during the flip, it deals 3 damage to each chosen creature it lands resting on. Any creatures damaged by Falling Star that are not destroyed become tapped.
  • Regarding both Chaos Orb and Falling Star, you are allowed to move and rearrange the chosen permanent or creatures onto the battlefield for flipping. Sleeves count as parts of the cards. If for any reason (for example a difference of level due to a playmat), Chaos Orb or Falling Star are over the chosen permanents (vertically), but without touching them, the action will be considered successful.
