As in every other MTG Old Frame League since the 12th one, the winner got a card altered by Kevin Altered. In this case, a Mana Vault was awarded, with our Old Frame logo.
The 11 participants were split into 2 groups. Each of them played 4 or 5 matches, depending on the group.
Nicholas Boltuc qualified for the semifinals with a 4-1 record and played against Alex Caviris, who had the highest tiebreakers among three players from the second group that went 2-2. The other semifinals consisted of Chema Valero, who also went 4-1, against Karl Akbari, who finished 4-0 after his group matches.
The finals consisted of a classical Old Frame Vintage matchup, between two of the best players in the league. Nicholas Boltuc has just ended second in the XVII league and won the XVI one. However, Karl Akbari, who had been in the finals 6 times, winning two of them, was able to win 3-0, ending up with an impressive 6-0 result in matches and 13-2 in games.
